The Nepal Korea Friendship Society (NKFS) has participated in Information Fair 2006 organized by Seoul Help Center, Seoul Metropolitan, Korea today on the occasion of Hi Seoul Festival. In this 'Fair', most of the participants were from diplomatic institutions like embassies, consulates and other international organizations. The NKFS shares some informations with the publics/visitors through different kinds of materials like audio-video, pamphletes, brochures, etc. to make them understand about the NKFS's objectives and future programs and others. In addition, there were many food stalls and cultural show from the different countries. Among them, the Manjushri Dance, and Tamang Dance from Nepal were appreciable. The Candle Dance and the Bamboo Dance from Philippines were also attractive.Such kinds of festivals help in different kinds cultural exchanges and globalization also. The 1st Introductory Program with Tea Party |

NKFS organized an “Introductory Program with Tea Party” on March 16, 2006 at the Foreigners Workers' Office in Tongdemun, Seoul . The program was presided by Mr. Bhanu Shrestha, president of NKFS. The participating guests were the presidents/vice-presidents of Nepal Korea Cultural Forum, Manang Family, Syanja Family and representives of Napal Samparka Samitee and others. They were invited to speak about their organizatons and current activities . In their speech, they committed themselves to work together with NKFS hand in hand and provide help to this society as much as possible.
Mr. Puru Joshi initiated the program and handed over the mike to Mr. Prakash Dhamala, the MC of the program. The vice-president, Dr. Siddharth Joshi made a welcome speech followed by Mr. Niraj Aryal who gave a brief introduction about NKFS and its objectives. The concluding speech was given by the NKFS president who thanked all the participants and wished that the NKFS would grow to be an umbrella organization in the coming future. |
