1,202 bikini-clad ladies break Guinness record

A bikini battalion of 1,202 ladies gathered Sunday at the Changlong Water Amusement Park in Guangzhou to form the Olympic rings logo and broke a Guinness world record — not for the largest Olympics logo ever formed with human bodies, but for the largest swimsuit photo shoot ever (previous record was set last year at Bondi Beach by 1,010 ladies). Yet another utterly useless record, you might say, but these girls sure look like they're having a blast!

What is Republican Government?

Republican government is one in which:

(1) The power of government is held by the people. (2)The people give power to leaders they elect to represent them and serve their interest. (3)The representatives are responsible for helping all the people in the country, not just a few people

"There are 68 countries where the Kings were abolished and declared the Republican during 20 & 21st century in Asia and Europe"

"Nepal will be the latest republican country by abolishing the monarchy."

What are the advantages of Republican government?

The republican government is the best kind of government they could choose for themselves. They believed that the advantages of republican government are: (1) Fairness. They believed that laws made by the representatives they elected would be fair. If their representatives did not make fair laws, they could elect others who would. (2)Common welfare. The laws would help everyone instead of one person or a few favored people. (3)Freedom and prosperity. People would have greater freedom and be able to live well.

South Korea's first astronaut Yi So-yeon looks on during a news conference in Star City, outside Moscow, Monday, April 21, 2008.

1st Korean Astronaut Recounts Scary Return

South Korea's first astronaut said Monday she was "really scared" when the Russian space capsule she was in made an unexpectedly steep descent to Earth over the weekend.

"During descent I saw some kind of fire outside as we were going through the atmosphere," said Yi So-yeon, a 29-year-old bioengineer. "At first I was really scared because it looked really, really hot and I thought we could burn."

But then she said she noticed it was not even warm inside the Soyuz capsule. "I looked at the others and I pretended to be OK," Yi said.

Ko later apologised for his actions. The South Korean government paid Russia about $25 million for the right to send the first Korean into space. Along with her Russian colleagues, Yi will conduct scientific experiments at the ISS during her 11-day mission.new
